I am a lifelong denimhead, which began in 2nd grade with my first pair of Guess jeans that zipped at the ankle. The year was 1986 — in small town Oklahoma — and I was hooked. It was that immediate surge in confidence for me.
Me: these feel good and damn I look cool.

Add my vintage + denim addiction with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and what do you get? Well, for 20 years it was my means to an end: more denim. Add in a pandemic and first-time motherhood in my 40s, and I decided I wanted to pivot entirely, have more flexibility for my family, and take a chance on me — and my eye and obsessive nerdiness for incredible old denim.

I have always been a David Bowie fan, and I ALMOST opened a denim bar in 2009 that was to be called — The Jean Genie. So here we are years later. Full circle. And I’m happy to be here.
